Our Story
Couple Nicole and Antonio started Flora Blooms as a way to combine their passions of floristry and farming. Utilizing these interests to make an environmental change by growing and sourcing flowers that are organic and Florida grown.
Nicole began her floral work in Florida. She started with arranging weeds in the garden to then landing her first flower shop job in West Palm Beach in 2017. She worked in the traditional floral industry for several years. Working from the ground up, she developed her style and realized that she wanted to change the un-environmental practices of the floral industry.
Antonio discovered his interest of farming in Florida when he began volunteering as a farmhand in 2016, where he was introduced to the principals of organic farming. Here he farmed organic turmeric, ginger, culinary mushrooms and leafy greens. He saw the difference organic and sustainable practices made on growing produce. Having worked with the farm for 8 years, he decided it was time to implement these practices into something of his own.
Together Nicole and Antonio started Flora Blooms as a way to not only do what they love, but as a way to showcase what the floral industry could be. Flowers don’t have to be flown from across the world wrapped in plastic but rather can come from your local farmer. Flowers don’t have to be sprayed with chemicals to grow and last, they can be organically grown and freshly harvested to ensure long vase life. You don’t have to choose between the environment, your health and a vase of flowers.
